We believe every piece of art has the power to tell a story, inspire connection, and make a positive impact. That's why we've created the OOS Artist Collaboration Project — an ongoing initiative to support artists and children from mountain communities by providing a platform where their creativity can be seen, shared, and valued. Through this project, selected artworks become part of the OOS Carabiner Mug Collection, allowing every design to travel far beyond where it was created while generating ongoing income for its creator through product royalties.

 

We Carry Songs In, Rubbish Out​

 

We believe a song can carry more than a melody. It can carry love, gratitude, encouragement, remembrance, and a message we sometimes find difficult to put into words. And when that song travels into the mountains, perhaps it can carry something even further — a small act of care for the planet.

 

That’s why we created Songs for the Mountains, an ongoing OOS non-profit project that brings together music, storytelling, human connection, and environmental action.

 

The idea is simple: You make a contribution to request a song. You send a blessing. We carry both into the mountains, record your song along the way, and carry the rubbish back out with us. Your contribution helps support these journeys and our ongoing mountain-cleanup actions.

We Care for the People

Behind every product, there are hands that made it. Sadly, many factory workers around the world are paid very little for very hard work. Out of Skool doesn’t own big factories — so we can’t control everything.
 

But we can choose to care. Since 2023, we’ve partnered with Woven and WSDO Fair Trade Nepal™ — a non-profit group in Pokhara that has been empowering women in rural Nepal since 1975. Together, we bring you handwoven bags, purses, cases, toys, shoes, and little treasures for the home — all made with love, not in a rush.

 

Through Fair Trade, the women who make these things don’t just earn money — they also invest back into their lives and communities. Some build child-care centers. Some buy laptops or bicycles. Some improve healthcare for their villages. It’s their choice, their power. Fair Trade also means safer workplaces, greener standards, and better conversations between workers and management.

 

In short: We make everything with care, and we offer it to those who care - so together, we can build a world full of love.​
