Give What You Can.
Do What You Can.
Every Little Bit Matters.

Out of Skool is a little world with a simple mission: Let Life Bloom. Keep Planet Safe. Through what we do, we share wisdom and love with the world.

We believe making a difference doesn’t always have to begin with something big. Sometimes, it starts with picking up one piece of rubbish, sharing a skill, creating something together, carrying an extra bag down a mountain, or simply showing up when another pair of hands is needed.

That’s why we welcome volunteers from all walks of life.

You might be an artist, photographer, writer, musician, designer, climber, teacher, environmentalist — or none of these at all. You don’t need a special title to contribute.

Bring what you know.
Give what you can.
Learn what you don’t.

Depending on where we are and what projects are happening, volunteers may join us in mountain and environmental clean-ups, creative projects, community activities, workshops, events, photography and filmmaking, or simply help behind the scenes. Some opportunities may take place in New Zealand, while others may happen in the Himalayas and other mountain communities we work with.

There is no promise that every journey will be comfortable, exciting, or Instagram-worthy. Sometimes volunteering simply means getting your hands dirty, carrying rubbish, washing cups, sorting equipment, or doing the small jobs nobody notices.

And we think those small things matter.

We’re not looking for perfect people.

We’re looking for kind humans who care — about people, about the mountains, about this planet, and about leaving a place a little better than they found it.

If that sounds like you, you’re welcome in our little world.

Come as you are.
Bring what you can.
Let’s do something good together.
